Gustav Klimt's work is part of an international canon of motifs. But where did he actually complete these works? The Klimt Villa Vienna houses the studio that the artist used from 1911 until his death in 1918. At what is now Feldmühlgasse 11, he rented a garden house where he "toiled" on his works, as he wrote. The house itself had a checkered history, now it has been revitalized on the occasion of the Klimt Year. On display is a permanent exhibition centered around Klimt's studio - the only one at one of his former places of work in Vienna.
